I picked up How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are knowing that I could learn a lot. As a lover of all things French, I was immediately entranced by their seemingly know-it-all attitude. Do not be mistaken. These four French authors aren't stuck up, cocky or je ne sais quoi. Rather, they are experienced. They are the definition of calm, cool and collected in all aspects of their lives. And I want to be just like them.From minimalist pictures to short lists, this book is the perfect read for every twenty-something who is still trying to figure out the whole real world situation. I love to read, but I am not naive enough to say that people my age feel the same, which is why the style of this book speaks volumes. It is such an easy, quick read, and the subtle changes that these women suggest make everything feel within reach.
The authors demand respect and breathe confidence. While this isn't your typical "How To" book, it was just what I needed to hear during this transitional period of my life. Their refreshing outlook on dating, working and overall being a woman who kicks ass each day makes me want to just be better.
Not to mention, it will look cute on your coffee table for months to come!
